Scarlet Flax Seeds
Info: Scarlet Flax has spectacular rounded flowers about 4 cm in bright crimson with a deeper centre leading to a solid black eye, with a matching deeper rim to each petal. Plants grow up to 35-45 cm in height. This annual variety is a beautiful colorful addition to the cottage garden and flowering meadows. Scarlet flax copes well with a full sunny, dry location.
Sowing & care: Sow directly outdoors from mid of March. Can be sown late autumn for the earliest spring displays. Sow thinly on soil that has been raked to a fine tilth and cover rake in lightly 2-3 mm depth. Scarlet flax grows best in full sun on light well drained soil.
