Nigella White Seeds
Info: Nigella White has beautiful, delicate flowers with a particularly pretty crown of petals. Its white, star-shaped flowers set very beautiful accents in the flower bed or bouquet.
The Nigella damascena comes from the Mediterranean region and has become a popular annual flowering plant in Central European gardens. It got its name because of the flowers, which remind of a small figure in a wide skirt surrounded by green foliage. It is closely related to black cumin, although the seeds do not play a special role as a spice.
Sowing & care: Sowing is best done either in September or in March/April directly outdoors. The soil should be loosened and the seeds lightly raked. Nigella likes a sunny to semi-shady location, regular humidity and a normal, permeable garden soil. Cut the decorative seed capsules before seed ripening, otherwise they will open prematurely. Hang the stems up and let them dry in a dark, cool room.
