Padano Tomato Seeds
Info: The Padano tomato is a popular, fast-growing egg tomato, whose medium-sized, oval fruit has a firm flesh and a dense, burst-proof skin. The small tip on the underside makes them particularly pretty. The plants grow vigorously and can reach a size of 150 - 200 cm with good care.
Care: You can grow the San Marzano Lungo tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
