Broad Bean Witkiem Manita Seeds
Info: Witkiem Manita is a precocious, fast-growing, high-yielding broad bean. The variety makes short, broad pods. The individual pods contain four to five juicy, aromatic, white beans. They are excellent for preserving and freezing. The beans are an excellent source of vitamin C, folic acid and fiber.
Sowing & cultivation: Broad beans are best suited to a cool climate, so sowing can start from end of March to May outdoors. Before sowing, soak the seeds in water for one day. Sow in rows 50 cm apart 4 - 6 cm deep, 20 cm apart in the row. Broas beans need a good, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny location.
