Pea Ambassador Seeds
Info: Pea `Ambassador` is a robust growing, short-vined pea that is growing only to a height of around 80 cm. It is a high yielding variety producing masses of large, blunt-ended pods containing 8-9 sweet and tender peas of great quality. Used fresh or frozen, Pea Ambassador tastes delicious. This reliable maincrop has outstanding resistance to powdery mildew and fusarium wilt. The pods grow on semi-leafless stems that make for easier picking.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow when the soil is warm to the touch, which will be some time between the middle of March and the end of April. Sowing depth: 4-5 cm. Peas require a sunny position with well-drained and nutrient-rich soil, but not acidic. Use bamboo canes, pea sticks, trellis, netting or chicken wire as a climbing support for the plants. Once you feel the seeds in the pod, the peas are ripe for harvest. The more you harvest, the more they will produce. As the containing sugar decomposes very quickly, they taste sweetest immediately after harvesting.
