Sweetcorn Strawberry Seeds
Info: Sweetcorn `Strawberry` is a very pretty variety with petite cobs and small, red kernels. It is not only great for decorating and crafting, it`s also excellent for making popcorn. The strawberry popcorn has so much flavour that it tastes pure. The plants grow to a maximum of 150 cm and produce several side stalks with 5 to 10 cm long cobs.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow from May on outdoors. Use a dibber to make 2.5cm holes and sow two or three seeds every 30cm with 45 cm between rows. Sweetcorn grows best if planted in large blocks. It likes free-draining, moisture retentive and nutrient-rich soil. The plants are shallow rooted: protection from winds and water loss in the soil is very important.
