Sweetcorn Heavenly Blue Seeds
Info: The sweetcorn Heavenly Blue is a pretty cultivated corn with blue-violet grains, which are partly covered with pink. The ripe, dried kernels are suitable for popcorn or can be ground to a slightly purple colored more.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow from May on outdoors. Use a dibber to make 2.5cm holes and sow two or three seeds every 30cm with 45 cm between rows. Sweetcorn grows best if planted in large blocks. It likes free-draining, moisture retentive and nutrient-rich soil. The plants are shallow rooted: protection from winds and water loss in the soil is very important.
