It has flattened ribbed small round medium orange fruits, the skin is golden orange and the flesh is fine flavoured and deep orange. It is a versatile fruit in that it can be roasted, baked, or made into a variety of dishes such as soup or pie.
Sowing & cultivation: Pumpkin plants need a lot of space as creeping plants and a good nutrient supply. The soil should therefore be profound and nutritious. From mid-May can be sown directly into the open field. Depending on the variety a plant needs up to 2m² of space. Abundant irrigation is very important, especially in the beginning. A typical pumpkin problem are snails. Try as protection a thick ring of sawdust around the young plant. It should be fertilized with a few horns, four weeks later with full fertilizer. The harvest begins in September and lasts until the frost.
