Onion Giant Zittau Seeds
Info: The onion Giant Zittau is a very old, traditional, medium-sized yellow onion. It is known for its good storage properties. The individual bulbs weigh usualy 80 grams. Suitable for raw food in salads or cooked to many vegetable, meat and fish dishes.
Sowing & cultivation: Sowing can take place from March to April. The seeds are covered with soil in a plant depth of 1,5 - 2 cm, well pressed and kept moist. After germination the seedlings can be separated. The planting distance should be 25cm and the row distance should be 8cm. Sow on a loose, strong soil which is not pre-fertilized. The harvest can take place from September, as soon as the foliage has fully departed.
