Tres Cantos Tomato Seeds
Info: The Tres Cantos tomato is a heirloom from Tenerife. The beefsteak tomatoes are juicy with few seeds. Their flavour is excellent, savory with a a great balance of acidic and sweet. The plants are strong growing, prolific and will need tall canes for support. For best results in yield, remove side shoots and restrict the plant to one main stem. They are resistant to most tomato diseases.
Care: You can grow the Tres Cantos tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
