Garden Peach Tomato Seeds
Info: The Garden Peach tomato is a rare and unique heirloom variety. The fruits are yellow with pink blushes when ripe and have a velevety skin somewhat like peaches. The flavour is delicate, fruity, sweet and the fruits are juicy. It is a good salad tomato and you can use them also for preparing salsas, sauces oder jam. The plants are very prolific, need a trellis or support and pruning of the shoots between the main stem and the branches. Garden Peach tomatoes are highly resistant to splitting.
Care: You can grow the Garden Peach tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
