Starship Chili Seeds
Info: The Starship Chili originates from Brazil and is a variety from the Capsicum baccatum species. An interesting and rarely offered type with a very high yield of beautiful bell-shaped fruits which slightly resemble small UFOs - hence the name.
The plants are robust and strong growing, and are suitable for cultivating outdoors. The fruits ripen from green to orange to red and have a very fine fruity flavour with a medium level of spiciness. They are suitable for making salsas and sauces, for cooking and for drying.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. The plants are suitable for planting outdoors, and there should be a distance of at least 45 - 60 cm between each individual plant. If you are cultivating them in pots, cut them back by 20 cm after the harvest to overwinter and put them in a light place with a temperature of at least 15°C.
