Mr.Stripey Beefsteak Tomato Seeds
Info: The Mr. Stripey beefsteak tomato is an old variety from the USA which produces beautiful, fine red and yellow striped tomatoes. The fruits weigh up to approx. 350 g and are mild and sweet with little acidity. Due to their appearance they are particularly good for salads or for decoration in buffets. The plants grow up to 120 cm in height and are very high yielding.
Care: You can grow the Mr. Stripey beefsteak tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
