Aji Omnicolor Chili Seeds
Info: Aji is the common word for all kinds of chillies in South America, which mostly originate of the species Capsicum baccatum (tree chili). The plants are perennial and can get very large (up to 2 metres) with good care. The Aji Omnicolor is a rather small and bushy variety reaching heights up to 90 cm.
The plants bear masses of small, pointed, elongated and erect fruits that are 1 x 4 cm in size. The pods ripen from white to yellow and orange to red. Because the pods are at different stages on the plants, this variety is bathed in a wonderful play of colors and is a real eye-catcher on the balcony or in the garden.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 22 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
